I Thought it was a Doll- Shirley
by Shirley Haden

Lesson...always check all your settings when you head out the door because it never fails, when you least expect it, that shot comes and your camera is set from the night before! I'm lucky this came out ok. The camera was set for an evening shot of a flower. LOL

A very good framing again! I like the contrasted conversion too, because it helps to keep the sight in the (happy) mother and the (worried) baby. Great candid shot. endika

I like how many different stories can be interpreted from this image. Personally, as a recently new father, I like to think that she's finally getting some peace!!!

You guys are hysterical. I am a bit worried that mom's eyes are closed and not watching where she's going, then again, if its a big puddle, she may be bracing for the splash!

Or maybe they have just been through a puddle, that would explain the expression on the babies face :-)
Drip and wind dried.

Art, I think the baby is braced for that puddle Colin thought about! He's right, mom hits puddle, baby gets it right up the middle! Yikes! Maybe the smile on mom's face is a sadistic chuckle? mooooaaaaahahahaha!

Love the expressions... mom happy and relaxed, the kid tho, has a serious, worried look... have to wonder what's coming up behind them.
Guest 29-Jul-2008 20:24
LoL, that little fella don't look too happy. Great catch Shirley.
I notice there is no mud guard, so if mom goes thru a puddle, the baby gets it!

lol No kiddin! I don't think this baby is going anywhere but I sure hope mom doesn't have an accident!!!

And you were worried about the dog in my photo? LOL
