Le Manufacture des lumières

to René Magritte (November 21, 1898 – August 15, 1967),
a Belgian surrealist painter. Magritte developed a style
in which a misleading sort of realism is combined with mocking irony.
His paintings are dominated by an intense quietude and restraint,
despite a startling juxtaposition of images.

So cool. I had a double-take experience with this... Clicked on the thumb, checked out the image / read the commentary and thought "ok cool shot". Then hit the back button and suddenly stopped - my mind registered something was not quite right... came back to it and wow. So cool! Not sure how you did this but the effect is unmistakable. Excellent

one of my favorites, Oleg! this one is so impressive.. almost a 3d effect and for me, it really looks alive. Great use of perspective with that amazing sky. My compliments.

well done! I have been thinking about doing a magritte-style day-night shot, but haven't got round to it yet . What I like about this, is that, like magritte's paintings, I didn't notice that it was day and night together! well done

Really like the idea of this shot which is almost a contradiction with the blue sky and yet illuminated buidings at night.
