Nikon D700 D300 D200 ISO100-6400 comparison

This comparison is based upon the Imaging-Resource Still Life standard JPEG ISO test.
There is a greater difference between D200 and D300, than between the D300 and D700.

Lenses used:
D700: Sigma AF 70mm f/2.8G EX DG macro, f8
D300: Sigma AF 70mm f/2.8G EX DG macro, f8
D200: Nikon AF 105 f/2.8D Micro, f8

Take note of the red channel in the shadows. This is where you will see a greater difference at hi-iso. Picture control can easily close the gap on the contrast and sharpness observation.

...well there is a nice difference between the D300 and D700 when it comes to the blacks and contrast at all levels. Nice study!
