The Blackcap L 13,5-15cm (5.3-5.9")
breeds in wet or shady woodland with dense ground vegetation and in exuberant parks. Nesting in low bushes or similar. Characterised as a rugged and large warbler build like a Garden Warbler, but slightly slimmer. The male's back is greyish and the breast is light olive grey with a plain grey tail, and the male has a black cap. Juveniles and females have a chestnut cap. The female has a olive back, a greyish breast and crème abdomen. The cap reach down to the upper edge of the eyes. The bill and tarsus is plain grey.
