These photos were taken from a great distance, across a very hot drained fish pond, so sorry for not being very sharp. Even in these bad photos, this is one strange shorebird for many reasons but most likely it is just an exceptionally small, exceptionally bright, female juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper with melanistic tendencies. Size and color, possibly some Sharp-tail somewhere in its past but the bill? Click on photo to enlarge, notes under photos.
