We have stayed there many times and it is truly a magical place.

we stayed at Dolphin Cottage in 1996 and I would love to go back. Does anyone know if it is still a holiday rental cottage?

Me and my husband have been on holiday to Pennan for the past 7yrs and stopped in Dolphin cottage(used in local heroe). We think the place in magical and can't stop going the people are so friendly,and the Pennan Inn is fantastic.The pictures are great.

Searched on 'Pennan' and hit your gallery. This and your other galleries have made up my mind that we will spend a holiday in the North of Scotland again this year(last one was around five years ago). Probably based around Keith or Huntly. Why did I search on Pennan? must be 'cause my favourite film is 'Local Hero'.

Did you spot the local joke with the Give Way lines? I Think the locals watch for first time visitors who don't know its ok do drive against the incoming traffic when leaving. It really us a one road village.

Another wonderful gallery - this looks familiar though...is it the village that Local Hero was set in? I remember it being on the East Coast even though Ben's Beach was at Arisaig.
