12th July, rolling in it

I spotted this bee today
after seeing an interesting bee picture yesterday.
I've always been a bit wary of bees,
Maybe thinking too much about killer bees.
You can stroke bumble bees though, according to my daughter Tamsin.
I've seen her do it.
Though I wouldn't like to encourage this kind of thing!
I thought this bee wasn't well,
it was rolling in the pollen and was covered in it.
Moving slowly.
After a while though, it flew away.

Just fabulous!!! Great detail and beautiful color... Perhaps the bee was drunk on the pollen???

I'd like a little of that myself right now . . .I can I go roll in it & have the same feeling?

Yes one can stroke bee's and wasp. I have been known to pick up a wasp and hold it in my hand many times without a sting. I do believe the pollen has an "effect" on bee's that give them a feeling of euphoria.

This photograph is dynamic...the detail is unbelievable. Great shot.
