Hello Noor and Eldar. Eldar says "Dull and rusted?" That is only to be known in the foreskin of the beholder:) However, the blades of your Samuai swords, Eldar o evil one. ... well, that is another matter indeed.... those blades are so sharp that they can painlessly circumcise a dozen fruit flies with just one short flick of the wrist. Ciao, Michael.

Michael, for this purpose i could've lended him one of my samurai swords, you know those that cut dry wall like butter ?! I don't think this dull and rusted tulwar would do the decent job and Haji might be very embarrased at the end of the sacred deed ! You see, he could barely fit his palm in the guard ?! Another thing is, Noor used to keep his hand in exactly the same place, I am not quite certain whether it has some symbolic meaning or rather just place of convenience, or concern ? Too many puzzles came out off this epocal shot...

Hello Noor, It appears that Haji, with his hand placed effectively over his crotch, is telling you that he is a natural "Moyel" (Rabbi with a specialty of performing circumcision). He is saying that his blade is so intensely sharp and he is so skilled that he could even perform this ritual act upon himself. His glazed eyes, caught by the skill of your photography, tells us that Haji is crazy enough to do it. What a wonderfully great, evil shot. Ciao, Michael.

Eldar,we are in Afghanistan,a more cultural place than south africa,so "kafir" means anything "wild" I think.
BTW,didn't know Mary Poppins had a beard,but then,I missed part 2 ;-))
Eldar Kadymov04-Apr-2008 23:24
They call blacks "kafir" in South Africa and it is very bad word. Just for the record... It's tough to aim when you start recalling your childhood heroes even without turbans...
Noor Khan04-Apr-2008 22:59
A little too much of that 'kafir' grape juice and he thought it was Mary Poppins!
Hodero04-Apr-2008 22:29
Wonder how you could have missed such a big turban Eldar!
Eldar Kadymov04-Apr-2008 13:15
Oh, wait a minute, oh my gosh... Now I recognize this fella, nevermind the sabre !!! I remember seeing him in the aim of Hind and on the top of the hill nearby Kajaki, holy smokes ! He was greeting me with RPG shot and I also rememeber him wearing bigger turban at the time ! I am happy that he survived blast from my Spiral, and I would kindly ask you as former leader of these heroic motion, to send him my warmest regards, inchallah we meet again in the other life as good friends ! Since when you became American target, I do know that you still walk on streets of Frisco with tulwar on your belt ?!

Eldar, this was in the early days of the Jihad (before the big business men got involved). You might recognize the tulwar. It's mine, as seen in my smoke and sword portraithttp://www.pbase.com/noorkhan/image/80104253
Haji was more of an AK47 and granade kind of guy, and gentle when he wasn't fighting in Afghanistan... unless you were a Russian... opps Eldar, no offence. Well it was a different age. Nowadays us Americans are the targets!
