Arthur, you are a real trooper. My boat was coming out in Mac City this Thur. but I extended haul out one week for some custom work. It's been blowing a gale for weeks. Wish I could have attended. AHOY! This will be short. Considerably more will follow later. Despite awesome weather forecast for Friday and Sunday and perfect sailing winds for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday . . . Due to . . . - Several preceding weeks of gales unnerving not a few - Thunderstorms forecast for Saturday - Unseasonably COLD temperatures - Several crews not even remembering they had agreed to attend . . . this weekend’s Beaver Island 2010 Cruise & Rendezvous . . . http://www.pbase.com/nonsuch/lake_michigan_north_beaver_2010 . . . is cancelled. The interest and enthusiasm was very strong. This Rendezvous will be happen in 2011 ! A “Plan B” will be needed in case a sail out to Beaver is determined “unwise” at the last minute next year.
