My local mountain, source of many happy hours of wandering. Despite summer crowds I can usually find places and times to avoid other photographers, hikers and tourists. This year I'll try to identify most of the flowers I've photographed. The mountain is famous for its 'wildflower' meadows - all native species, but heavily seeded in areas where perhaps they did not originally grow, where restoration work has been done. For a month or so each year, many open slopes of the mountain transform into magnificent wild gardens.
