The power station has been done to death by pro's, students and amatuers alike for years, and years, but it's soon to be developed if all the hype is to be believed, so I really wanted to have some images in my collection / portfollio! I've never seen this composition before (and hopefully) wont' from now on!
Designed by the famous British architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, with a sumptuous Art Deco control room, Italian marble turbine hall, polished parquet floors, wrought iron staircases and the four characteristic white smokestacks it provided London with electricity between 1937 and 1980 and was / is a design icon. It's infamous for it's use in various big bands artwork, most notably Pink Floyds Album Animals, which icidently was released the same year I entered the world. Also used in artwork and Video of The Orb's pink fluffy clouds!
