Very unusual for the Purple Martin to perch somewhere other than at the top of there Purple Martin house which is about 20 feet in the air.
Sitting in my truck near my garden, click .
A bird that likes the family type of living, helping each other ,always singing there song.
Main diet insects, and plenty of them.
A scout arrives around the end of March , finds a home and the rest of the Martins follow and stay until the middle of August when there young ones are ready to travel.
When they have left you miss there singing instantly.
One of my favorite summer birds.
