The up-and-coming new kid on the block. I remember seeing him last year before they reduced the herd from over 300 down now to only 90. He always kept his three mares at a distance, and I have few old images of him from last year.
This year is a bit better, and although he still tries to keep his small harem at a distance, I have been able to get close enough to get some shots. He has proven to be a capable young stallion and not afraid of any of the other males, in fact, he will often run off for several hundred yards toward the usual band of bachelor males to display his prowess and pick a fight with even the biggest of them.
I hope to get some great images of him in action this coming year.
