5th: Bridges in the Mist by MarkusU

The bridge to the left here (Tjörnbron, Sweden) was demolished by a big ship with a malfunctional rudder in 1980. It was at night in the winter with a thick layer of fog reducing visibility to almost nothing. 7 cars with 8 people went over the edge of the collapsed bridge before one driver, seeing the lights from other cars just disappear in front of him, understood what had happened and traffic was stopped. I was lucky this morning to capture this picture just before the mist disappeared (It is shot from a small aeroplane).

This one is really nice! I first thought that it's painted - I cant' believe it.. (Have I mentioned that I love mist? :D)
Perhaps a convertion to b/w would make it a little juicer

Great capture. I love the composition. The fog/clouds add great texture. Marc B

Wow, fascinating picture ! (And sad story)

It is great you could capture such a good picture from the airplane. This makes a very strong contender !

Love the mist. Great story too. Something like this happened not to far from my local in Tampa, FL. Tanker ran into the Sunshine Skyway.

Many airplane window shots look like grabshots. Yours, however, is very well composed. Nice job!
