the sculpture is iron i guess, and they accelerated the 'rusting process' by pouring on some 'acid'? - hence the striations.

i did blow the saturation in an attempt to create a more 'compelling image'

The contrasts of the background are the parts that really make it. Where is the rust? In the glowing center of course, shaped as a human. Really, what is it I'm looking at? Puzzling. I can't vote for this picture adrianox, but I am astonished.
