My grandaughter Brandi Mah delivered Emma Christina May Mah on Saturday, August 27, at 4:39 in the afternoon and promptly made me a great grandfather. Wow! (Emma weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz.) Brandi's mother, my daughter Chris, sent the following memo today, August 29, 2005: "Her first day was a hard one as you can see from the photos. Brandi held her for the first time this morning. She may be allowed to try feeding her later tonight. Little Emma took her time coming and had to be helped quite a bit by the doctors. She had some difficulty breathing at first but is doing better today. She is no longer on oxygen but is on antibiotics. Brandi and Emma will be in the hospital for another three to five days".
