Matthew, Tom Burr told me about your site and I am in awe. Wow,what pictures and all action shots, you are good. I was debating as to what my next lens would be after my 70 to 200L Canon, I was leaning toward the Canon 100 to 400 L but your pictures showed me just how good the Sigma big mama is. If you do not mind I have a question. I am new to this and it is fun, I amused to using the One sho auto focus mode and today I used the AI focus and had allot of no focus shots, is ther a trick to shooting birds and getting the sharp shots you got.

Whenever I stop in on this gallery it seems to get better and better. I don't have the patience or the skill to capture wildlife as you have. These all seem to be nearly perfectly exposed and composed, and very crisp. All the more impressive because I assume half the battle is simply capturing the bird or the animal at the right moment. Very well done.

Thanks for the comments. I use Photoshop CS to post-process. Mostly just levels, some saturation if needed, sharpening with the Fred Miranda sharpening action and a local contrast adjustment if needed.

Sharp pics , I still cant decide on a Bigma or 70-200 2.8 sigma.
