I visited the Punakha Dzong just as the monks were leaving the temple.
As it turned out, there had been a ceremony in the Temple with Je Khenpo, the highest spiritual leader of Bhutan in attendance. As he walked out of the temple, he gave a blessing to all those who were visiting the Dzong. A line had formed and he slowly walked past blessing each person on the bowed head. It was a silent moment and only the murmurng of blessings and mantras could be faintly hear.
I felt honored to be in his presence.
