I found one last year in the water and it was the coolest thing I have ever seen. I love doing the research on this.

I have never seen one before until this year (2010). I found him/her on my Gold Drop Potentilla plant. Saw the stick bug two maybe three times and then it was gone. Where did it go? I look every day to see if it has come back. I'm still waiting. It was neat. I am 52 years of age and only seeing a stick bug for the first time in my life well I've got to say is pretty cool!!

on 7/26.07 I found a bug crawling up on my sofa and then stopped and we stared at each other for 20 mins and not moving . My husband came home and I said hurry what is this he said he saw it on tv at one time and thought it was a stick bug well it looked like this but smaller and legs were curled up. I was so scared I killed it with a fly swater and now wondering where the mom or if brothers and sisters are around. this one was like a twig and small.
