The Hill Where Our "I" Was

Pocatello, Bannock Co., Idaho

This is a bit downhill and north from where our beloved I used to be. As I understand it, the I stood for Idaho Technical Institute, an early stage in the evolution of the current University. I don't know what the I was made of or how it was fastened to the crumbly hill, but over the decades, water worked its way under the large slab, eroding material from beneath it, and eventually it was deemed unsafe. In the summer of 2014, the I was plucked out of our landscape--but not from our hearts or memories.
