Actually the "visible halo" has nothing to do with sharpening ~ in fact, I use a very small radius of 'unsharp mask' in PS CS to sharpen my website uploads. If there is an actual 'halo', (as opposed to the natural light and shade of the turf), then it's more likely to have been caused by the use of the shadow/highlight tool.

Nice view but I find this photo (and a few others in this gallery) to be over-sharpened. In this photo, you can see this by the visible halo along the line of the lady's legs. Looks to me like you have used a fairly high radius perhaps to boost contrast (sometimes called haze remover). Anyway, I think it spoils your photos.
