This beauty flew straight past my nose, then pitched in some long grass that was up at shoulder height, on top of a bank.
It was the first spoonwing, (Nemoptera bipennis), I'd ever seen ~ indeed, it's the only one I've seen to date!
Note its two elongated streamers on either side of its body! Such a remarkable little creature!
