Cathedral and environs, Tudela

Tudela, Navarre, Spain

There were a lot of storks nesting on the cathedral in Tudela ~ an edifice that is particularly difficult to photograph as it's closely surrounded by other buildings. (The Tokina 11-16 came in very handy!)

Early in the morning the storks are going to and fro with food and nesting materials, so it's a good time to be there! (That and the fact there are so few people about!)

Really nice work and the verticals are all, well vertical for the wide angle lens.

Point of view superb and light and shadow play in this lovely scene is tantalizing.
The Stork is like whip cream and a cherry on a ice cream sundae .
The architecture is lovely and image clarity spot on.

How serendipitous to have the stork flying over at just the right time. Beautiful shot of the early light and color with excellent control of the vertical lines. ~BV~

Love this image Chris ~ the stork definitely makes it superb! V
Reminds me of our stay in Salamanca, Spain several years ago. Our hotel room overlooked the monastery (which was lit at night). I couldn't pull myself away from the window because there were dozens of stork nests built atop the monastery. It was amazing!
