Coat Mer Feu Antérieur

near Kermenguy, France

The original lighthouse, destroyed by German troops in August 1944, was a small keeper's house with the light displayed from a window; the present tower has no house but was designed to present a similar appearance to approaching ships. Also known as Coat Mer Aval light.
