This is another of those sights that made me stop the truck.

To reiterate, "WOW" and I'd like to add awesome and powerful. This certainly speaks to the drama of DV.

After seeing how you intensified those clouds, I have reworked my own version athttp://upload.pbase.com/image/75089033 to get a similar stormy effect. However our approaches differ in that your colors are more delicate and subtle, while mine are more emphatic. I also used the clumps of rounded sage in the foreground to echo the swirling clouds overhead. You used hardly any foreground, giving even more emphasis to the clouds sweeping towards us. Once again, we each take the same picture from the same spot at the same time, yet by varying our frames and our post processing approaches, we have made entirely different images.

Yes, I remember the moment well -- and I love your interpretation of it. I like the dark clouds and the subtle light on that distant hill.
