Because of the light - these circles of pond scum gain a meaning and beauty. For me, they symbolize the turning of the seasons.

Yes, who would have thought that pond scum would play an important part in a compelling composition such as this too!

Pond scum used as an effective element? It seems to give a since of motion to this image. john
