B&A Max Michael c 1915.jpg

This 7" high oval photograph exists on a slightly domed metal back.
The fixer stains had effectively ruined the image but were easily removed.
The biggest change is the emergence of fine detail and tonal variations.

This was a pretty straight forward restoration. Still, I am amazied at the variety of tools that were needed to be used in Photoshop.
Thousands of micro scratches were removed via Digital ICE when scanning and later with Polaroid Dust and Scratch Remover filter.

My recollection of tools used:
Clone, spot healing brush, regular healing brush, oval/rectangle marque tool, eraser, crop tool, the grid overlay, Topaz Clarity filter, USM, Topaz B&W filter, image transform,
transform selection, burn tool, shadow/highlight adjustment tool, crop tool, image size and a variety of procedural adjustment layers were also used.
