Don as I have been attacked on my web sights by Bart, Ira and a few others, I stand firm on the knowledge that the traitor and his band of commrads follow him into oblivion. The distruction of our Nation by them will not succeed. As long as we stand in defense of the honorable, we will succeed. Lies have awaken the Honorable Americans to fight the dishonorable to defeat them and show the world what is right. President Bush won for this reason. Kerry could only win if the dishonorable were greater in numbers, and they are not. The Admiral knows we can still bring Kerry before a Courts Martial by re instating him to active duty and prosecuting him for crimes committed in a time of war, Aid and Comfort to the enemy is treason, an act against fellow Military and civilians. This should be brought to the Media and broadcast all over the world, as the Traitor who almost became President. Bill Clinton was a coward, and he was allowed to stand in office for two terms, Jimmy Carter was not much better. Them Demonicratic Parity has had the rule for much to long, now Americans will rule this country. Whether its tiddly-winks or war at sea, I want to win, win, win! In fact, I hate to lose and when I win I sometimes want to rub the loser's nose in his defeat. After a sleepless night I feel just rotten enough that the past six months of lies and innuendos from the Kerry camp have it all come home to make me more vindictive than usual. As a result, I want to gloat. Here's why: I am happy that the sound common sense of a majority of America's voters resulted in a solid victory for a true patriot-and in the humiliating defeat of a lying traitor. There was no doubt in my mind that Bush's truthfulness and forthrightness would prevail against the lies and half-truths of Kerry and his supporters, and I am pleased that a majority of good folks saw the light and pushed the Bush/ Cheney button for justice and for increasing support for the nation's bright future. I am pleased that the left-leaning media-newspapers, radio, TV and newsmagazines-got their bell rung, but good. Now we are assured that these self-appointed "opinion makers" cannot pull the wool over the eyes of most of us, no matter how hard they twist the facts. Their early reporting of the "leaked" fraudulent exit polls, and their sponsorship of other badly skewed voter polls were designed to mislead voters, in which they failed-miserably. And Dan Rather deserves a special place in hell. I am delighted that the fat, disgusting a-hole, Michael Moore did not achieve the success that he wished for and that he was repulsed by so many intelligent Americans. May his soul burn in hell. I hope the Hollywood friends of Michael Moore-especially Barbara Streisand, Whoopi Goldberg, P-Diddler, and their friends-are roasting in the hell of their own making. It seems to me that they all offered to depart the U.S. if Bush won the first time, which they did not do. The time is now doubly ripe for their exit. I am blissful that all the treasure and invective of George Soros devoted to defeating George Bush went for naught. I only wish for a financial future of similar poor decisions by Soros; I want to see him as bankrupt in bank account as he is in patriotism. I find it particularly satisfying that the high ranking military suck-ups whose lack of integrity led them to desert their commander-in-chief and follow a lying cheat, even though they knew, or should have known, that his dismissal from the Navy was "less than honorable," as detailed in the military record that he refused to release. It is sad that such Navy types as Bill Crowe, Stan Turner, and even Jimmy Carter would be in that group. It is obvious that their motivation was the hope of a cushy job when their new-found knight in shining armor moved into the White House. Even their strategy was flawed, for Kerry is, and always has been, anti-military; he only used his military service-and those military "advisors"-for personal political gain. He would never have offered that cushy job, once he had used them, just as he never voted for the needed armament that they and their shipmates and their Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force brothers-in-arms needed so badly. I am thrilled that the whiners who have complained bitterly about the "stolen" 2000 Presidential election must leave that fallacy in the past and now try to find something else to whine about-maybe they can even develop a fantasy that the four million vote plurality was a miscount, and continue their whining as they slink away into their caves. It pleases me that Kofi Annan and the other United Nations sycophants failed miserably when they tried so hard to influence this election to ensure that a more pliable President Kerry would be elected. I hope they will now realize that either they clean up the bureaucratic, corrupt, do-nothing UN, or they will be short of funds when the Bush-led US decreases-or ends-its support. I am overjoyed at the failure of Osama bin Laden's carefully timed video of invective against the US and its President in hopes of using Islamic scare tactics on the American people. Bin Laden's aim was to entice our voters to elect a new President who will not be as robust in his pursuit of terrorists and more willing to "negotiate" with Islamic Fundamentalists. He did not understand that Americans are not so panicky as the French, fearful as the Spanish, or unthinking as the English. (As for the Germans, they should know better; we have defeated them in battle often enough to convince them of the rightness of our ways.) I hope Osama dies in a blast from a bunker-buster before he gets a chance to make another video or another attack on our nation. The blatant attempts of European nations and the EU to cause our President discomfort in his efforts to bring peace to the world make me glad that they are so disappointed with the election results. My joy is unbounded at the chagrin of the French and German and other anti-Bush, anti-American nations (including the people of the UK-but not their loyal and faithful government led by Prime Minister, Tony Blair). Now let those U.S.-sheltered Europeans worry about the end of American financial and military assistance when they have problems. Let them beg for American military aid and other handouts that have helped to sustain their economies. And let them perish in their own sweat when we remove out troops from Germany, the Balkans, and other trouble spots where we have pulled their chestnuts out of the fire. I relish the hope that Islamic fundamentalists will now understand the election result as a blow from which they cannot recover. It fills me with joy that their dreams of world domination will be shattered by Bush's and the American nation's resolve to see them defeated and sent to join their Allah-without the 72 virgins waiting for them. It pleases me more than I can say that the Senate Minority Leader, Thomas Daschle lost his seat. As the leading obstructionist for the Democrat party, he was primarily responsible for withholding approval of many Bush appointments to Federal judgeships, high-level positions, and other necessary personnel. Good riddance. The demise of the junk-yard dog, loudmouth James Carville, also brings me great happiness. That happiness is further enhanced by the victory of the first Republican to win a Senate seat in Louisiana, Carville's home state. I am delighted with the success of John O'Neil and his Swift Boat Vets-and with those thousands of non-Swifties who joined with them-on their forthright revelation of the truth of Kerry's service in Vietnam. They took a truthful but difficult position and made an impact-good and honorable Navy men all. Bush gets gentlemanly credit for not using them and their data in his campaign to demean Kerry, but the word was out that they spoke the truth. I maintain that they were the MVPs of this election; their testimony turned the tide against Kerry, and he never recovered. And, finally, I must express my unbounded gratification at the defeat of Senator Kerry, a worthless Senator, anti-military extremist, lying self-promoter, and former Naval officer who disgraced us all. His traitorous collusion with the enemy is second only to that of Jane Fonda. He should have been court-martialed for giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. His dishonorable quest for medals and a quick return to the US, where he turned against his shipmates and lied about their actions resulted in a less than honorable separation from the Navy. Jimmy Carter's amnesty allowed him to file for, and get, an honorable discharge 18 years after he left the service. He should have received a court martial. While my thoughts may seem to be mean-spirited, do not be confused-they really are mean-spirited, as I mean them to be. I have suffered the tortures of the damned over the past year as I heard and read the lies and nasty remarks from politicians, citizens, and media "experts" about our President. I have barely tolerated the feeble but divisive attempts of foreign and domestic peaceniks to build a case against our war on the Islamic fundamentalists, who use terrorism as a weapon against us in order to intimidate out citizens and drive some of our gutless politicians to seek "negotiations" to avoid "confrontations" with those who seek to kill our citizens. Most of all, I have seethed with anger at those who shamefully derided out military, blissfully reporting on their failures and neglecting their successes. They triumphantly celebrated our difficulties by running daily body counts of our own heroic men killed in battle with the enemy, even publishing their pictures in papers and on TV as if to mock the President who sent them to defend our nation. I have only disgust for such tactics. And those are the very same people who now plead for "united actions" in the House and Senate, now that they are in a steadily declining minority. I would advise our President to "watch your six" because these are really enemies and they are not to be trusted. Four more years! How sweet it is!

Why he was elected.....just some thoughts.... One of the most absurd theories being peddled to explain the victory of George W. Bush is that John Kerry "didn't have the charisma" needed to sell his vision to the people. Charisma was the least of Kerry's problems. Other Democratic strategists (the same ones who predicted a huge pro-Kerry youth vote) are scratching their heads over the Bush victory. They say they understand that voters think values are important. But, remember, the Kerry/Pelosi/Schumer Democratic Party still thinks their values are squarely in the mainstream! Let this be clear: this election is a reaffirmation of Ronald Reagan--his hopefulness, his vision, and his adherence to the conservative values that rescued the Republican Party from its political exile. After the celebrating, President Bush must get down to the hard work of achieving conservative goals. Doing this will expand the Republican majority not shrink it. As we beat back the terror threat around the globe, President Bush needs to offer further support for the culture of life, advance meaningful tax reform, and enforce our national borders for cultural and security reasons. Over the past year, we saw the political left throw everything it had against President Bush--ginned up talk of a military draft, lies about what happened at Tora Bora, phony National Guard documents, even blame for flu shot shortages. The elites in the "old media", academia, Hollywood, the Soros' billionaires club, and the EU were all pushing for John Kerry all the way. With all this, the Democrats still couldn't win. James Carville conceded that "the party needs to reassess where it is....They're going to asking themselves from tough questions."

Nuradin Abdi, a Somali immigrant and admitted al-Qaida member who was indicted earlier this year as part of a conspiracy to blow up the Columbus Mall, was registered to vote by the left-wing group ACORN, according to the Columbus Dispatch and the Ohio News Now TV Network. According to Ohio News Now, Abdi's name was added to the rolls by ACORN employee Kevin Eugene Dooley as part of the group's Project Vote operation. Dooley was indicted earlier this year on two felony election offenses: false election registration and submitting false election signatures to the Ohio Board of Elections

One of the dumbest political moves ever one made recently by John Kerry. Trying to use the Cheney's daughter against the president politically was an absolute back breaker for Kerry. Then his wife showed she has no class just a bit later by saying Laura Bush never had a "real job" and defending her husband on the Cheney issue. He must have married her for her money 'cuz that Heinz lady is a real bitch. Edwards and his wife are just as big of losers as well for using Ms. Cheney as a political tool. Mrs. Edwards showed how evil she is by saying Mrs. Cheney must be ashamed of her own daughter. I am ashamed of the Kerry and Edwards clans myself. Verti, I call him stupid for two reasons, usually he has taken the wrong side of the fence on the "big decisions" here at home over the last 30 years. But mostly I decided to make a play on the anti-kerry book by a similar name. I actually agree with you as Kerry and his cronies are some of the most gifted liars I have ever had the displeasure of having to endure. Possibly even bigger liars then the BC team was. I just thought of something though...John F. Kerry must be stupid 'cuz he is trying to steal this election, instead of winning it on his beliefs. Hey Pulpo, I think you are not an Aussie, you're Yank. Or maybe a Wannabe Yank. The US President, George Bush, is encountering growing international hostility to his campaign for a second term in the White House. A remarkable collaborative polling exercise, undertaken by leading newspapers in 10 countries across the globe, has highlighted strong opposition to the Bush re-election campaign. While the findings have no direct impact on the US election - the poll excludes the Americans whose vote really counts - they show the Bush Administration is struggling to secure popular support for its policies outside American borders. The hostility is directed not only at the White House: the image of the US itself appears to have suffered collateral damage. This is despite the fact that most of those polled believe in the US alliance and declare they are not anti-American. The ambitious exercise, initiated by Canada's Quebec-based La Presse, required the 10 project partners to run identical polls in mid- to late September to gauge public attitudes towards the US election on November 2. The Herald, which commissioned its regular pollster ACNielsen for the exercise, is the first paper to appear with the results in print under Friday's co-ordinated publication date. Across most of the countries surveyed, including Australia, opinions towards the US had deteriorated over the first Bush term. Only Israel, lockstep with the US in terms of foreign policy objectives and delivery, ran against the trend. Forty per cent of Israelis surveyed said their attitude towards the US had improved over the past two or three years. Twenty-six per cent said their view had soured. This contrasts with the response elsewhere. In Canada, 64 per cent said their attitude had worsened, France 70 per cent, Britain 45 per cent, Japan 74 per cent, South Korea 67 per cent and Australia 54 per cent. The souring view is directly linked to public dissatisfaction with Mr Bush, mainly over his prosecution of the Iraq war. In all countries except for Israel, majority opinion remains firmly against the US-led war. (No specific question on Iraq was asked in the Australian exercise.) In July, a majority of Australians (55 per cent) said the war was not justified, down eight points since May. The strongest opposition to the war was in South Korea, Mexico, Spain and France. This anti-war mood appears to feed directly into an international preference for John Kerry, the Democrat challenging Mr Bush for the presidency. In eight of the 10 countries taking part in the poll, Senator Kerry is rated the preferred winner, with huge margins in France, Canada and Spain. Only in Russia (52-48) and Israel (a more decisive 50-24) is Mr Bush the preferred winner. Senator Kerry benefits from being a relative unknown. In Australia, respondents were less likely to express an opinion about him (a 37 per cent "don't know" response compared to only 4 per cent for Mr Bush) but there were more people with a favourable rather than unfavourable opinion of him. If Mr Bush was re-elected, 40 per cent of Australians surveyed believed the international state of affairs would worsen. Eleven per cent believed it would improve and 45 per cent believed it would stay the same. While the appeal of the US has faded of late, Australians remain strongly committed to the relationship. Seventy-two per cent had a favourable opinion of Americans; 22 per cent had the opposite view. Almost three in every four believed it was important that the US play a leadership role in the world and 92 per cent said it was important Australia maintain good relations with the US. Four of the project countries asked whether the US had too much influence on international affairs. The results were emphatic: 86 per cent of Canadians, 73 per cent of Britons, 66 per cent of Mexicans and 87 per cent of South Koreans answered yes.

The document is a form cover letter in the name of the Carter administration's secretary of the Navy, W. Graham Claytor. It describes Mr. Kerry's discharge as being subsequent to the review of "a board of officers." This in it self is unusual. There is nothing about an ordinary honorable discharge action in the Navy that requires a review by a board of officers. According to the secretary of the Navy's document, the "authority of reference" this board was using in considering Mr. Kerry's record was "Title 10, U.S. Code Section 1162 and 1163. Well, as a Swiss guy, I should be neutral concerning inner-American affairs. But as the election does in fact concern the whole world I would like to share with you guys the preliminary result of an international internet poll. If the world could vote the American president (results from Oct 6, 2004): - 87% (!) of all people in the world would vote for Kerry (incl. the US) - 95% of all French would vote Kerry - 94% of all Swiss would vote Kerry - 93% of all Germans would vote Kerry - 90% of all English would vote Kerry - 89% of all Canadians would vote Kerry - and so on and on Countries were Bush would win: Myanmar, Faroe Islands, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Libya, Congo, Niger. In ALL other countries Kerry would win. So, probably most Bush supporters don't care about this figures anyway since they don't care about other countries but some might give it a second thought why you might not be so welcomed abroad as Americans as you were some years ago... I wrote this on Ted's page. Figured I'd see what kind of answers I got ever here. So, guys. I'm sure we all watched the debate. What did you think? I saw Kerry come out as a strong, articulate and intelligent man. Bush stumbled far more than I thought he would. I figured his backstage men would have prepped him a bit better, but hey, i guess it just goes to show you how little he can do without a script. At least that is my opinion. I saw it as a clear victory for Kerry, so I'm sort of curious about what the Bush supporters have to say about this. Without a doubt, Bush stumbled on the tough questions and just fell back on the same broad answers ("we have a multi-pronged attack." Only later, after Kerry brings up the issue, does he say what one of those prongs are, but never specifies the rest, or even how many there are.) So, all you Bush supporters out there: Defend yourselves.

I don't get it. I still see anti-Bush galleries in the popular galleries, yet this one was removed? Why? It seems most of the complaints are coming from people who aren't citizens of USA, and have absolutely no direct involvement in the election process whatsoever. For them, it doesn't matter WHO is running against Bush, as long as it isn't Bush. But this is to be our president, and Kerry would be better suited selling used cars than running a country.... well, maybe he'd be good for France. I'd vote for him if he was replacing Chirac. While I admit receiving the bronze star, silver star, and three purple hearts (without being hurt) within the first couple months of reaching Vietnam are quite impressive (almost unbelieveable huh?!), they would pale in comparison to his potential as a medal recipient in Athens had the games included Olympic Lying. I call it the unfortunate result of the neglect, and some even say the "gutting" of the intellegence agencies in the Clinton 90's. I have a difficult time seeing how we are not going down much the same road as the Muslim nations. For example, President Bush et al have been doing their best to hand over our tax dollars and social responsibilities to Christian Church groups for several years now. If Attorney General John Ashcroft is a shining example of what we can expect - God help us all! Here is a man who goes around Washington trying to drape with cloth material statues of women with bare breasts. IMO, he has a major problem. If we look at American tele-evangelists - well, they are certainly not my idea of freedom loving leaders. From what I have seen they would be just as restrictive, if not more than certain of the Muslim religious leaders. Think I'm kidding. Look at history. Spain under the Moors - the women who had been Christians wanted to remain Muslim for the most part because they had more rights as Muslims. It's in the history books. Read them. The thought of an expanding Muslim influence into Europe scared the "you-know-what" out of the Pope who did everything that he could to regain Spain for a Christian ruler. We as Christians do not have a history of treating women well. They have been written out of revised editions of the Bible since ancient times. They have been relegated to a much lesser role than Jesus envisaged for them. As we have had more ancient documents become available to the public we learn that Jesus kissed Mary in public - very avant garde for those times. He was reproached for his public display of affection and responded to the effect that it was a part of our being. Pardon me, but the thought of a Jerry Falwell et al holding sway over our daily lives is a very scary thought to me. Or how about Jesse Jackson - talk about speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Or Jimmy Swaggart? How about some of those pedophile priests and their Bishops who protect them in the name of their Church? Hey, to me it's a scary scene. With George Bush doing his best to cater to this lowest common denominator of Christian religious zealot, I believe that we all have reason to fear another 4 years of President George Bush. Don, Just to be far I visited the other Non politically orientated galleries for kerry/edwards. NOT. I was in Bezerkely and Palo Alto (Stanford) and SF during those PEACEFUL rallies and protests. They were anything but peaceful. I saw many outside aggitaters that would antaginize the local Law Enforcment, and Buisness owners. I was Photographing the Marches. The one in Palo Alto (Stanford) stands out. A bag of bricks was being distributed by one of the organizers, as I Photographed this and other functions, a Brick came flying at me and broke the B of A window I was leaning on. Needless to say I started walking out of there watching my back. They gave chase, and I flew out as fast as I could straight for the Police that were still 2 blocks away. I made it and they gave me a ride out, I told them what I saw becaused they asked. I told them to be careful as I had seen several of these people at other PEACEFULL RALLIES and they always ended the same way. These other LIBERAL galleries are just as you stated many times, they are the HATE GALLERIES.

It is easy for some Americans and other worldy people to, as we say in the US, arm chair quarterback. We the People of the US, have Large corporations and good hearted people that often champion the just cause of many nations, even if it means hardships for US. The world is a big place and there are many cultures and philosophies as to better distribute our generosity. If we feel that the people in charge in those countries, have a poor human rights record, but the general populations still need fundimentals we try to deal with the individuals in control. Not always do we make the right choices, but then again who will do it if we don't? Ours is not as self serving as most detractors would leed you to believe, as you are very well awhare of, the House of Orange and the Dutch finance ministries control a great deal of the worlds oil and finances. This is often overlooked. In part kerry has more powerful ties to these and other organizations as well as an incredable fortune. Bush family has been accused of having ties to all sorts of exotic, secret companies. Those have never been anything other than the rantings of those bent on the destruction of our system. The world calls on US all the time to help them out, when our nation debt gets out of hand, we ask somtimes for the other world leaders to help out. That rarely happens, and if it does the amount is nowhere near what is needed, to offset the cost in money, materials and human life. We are the only country on this planet that has sacrificed so much for others. Of course most don't see it that way, in part ,due to there leaders attempting to save face amongst there peoples and the peoples of the world. The world owes us a debt that can and never can be repaid. Yet it doesn't stop the world from asking for more. The democratic party has always managed to give away our wealth in money and himan life, through inaction or bad decisions. It has been the Republican parties job to fix it. This the Democrats can't stand, so they do what ever they can to ruin the Republican Part and this country only for the hope of gaining power again. Game yes it's a dangerous game. And if you don't understand this try the Library of Congress, CIA World facts web sight. Bush. and desires kerry/edwards. because they would have there own personal pupet. Sympathetic to there incompetancies, to prove there case to there own people. No child left behind is a tool that was instituted during a democratic congress and senate. They purpose was noble enough, to insure that due to economic, racial demografics that every child in the U.S. would not be stuck in the 3rd grade or what ever grade and that the teachers would be forced to teach out of lock step. Each child in the same class would be getting the instruction needed to progress to the next level. President Bush whants to get the detractors of this program to see that it has more merit than it is getting. Mizoleila, nice opinion and thanks for the props, but I have to disagree with some of what you have said. This election is not about "stupid" things. This election is the most important election of my lifetime. It is about our future security, welfare, and our quality of life for generations to come. We do not want to live with the terorists holding us and our governments hostage over whatever they want to. We are free people and we will do our best to eliminate terror worldwide and stay free. No ashtrays, no sex on the side, no rolling around on the floor. Just the issues and the candidates and some left wing hate that is unneccesary. Feel free to take a look at any of the 100 plus topics I have open for debate. Show us where you stand on some of these issues. Just do not make a blanket statement on what politics is from Reunion's or France's standpoint. This is our election and we have the right to examine a candidates words and deeds. That's what this gallery does. This gallery also allow discussion on any one of those topics and shows the great humanitarian efforts by coalition servicemen worldwide. The adrenaline pumps, the voices rise, we call names, throw ashtrays and roll around the room over stupid things like who's a draft dodger, what a real war wound is, or who's getting sex on the side. Having a workable vision and plan for how to heal a ruptured country is something else again. We Americans are such loonies! I would think you would be proud of the good work being done by our men and women which many of the photos depict. I see silly photo-a-day bs household item galleries, I see ugly photos with horrible music blaring, I see people with real horrible photos in the pops, I see people with terrible flower pix day after day. I see car parts, and poems and houses and you get my drift. We have an important election coming up and that is surely more important than all of the BS I listed above that clutters up pbase. Not that it clutters it up, but you know what I mean. The skill level at pbase is very wide and everyone needs somewhere to post. Plus I see horible nude skanky girlfriend shots and glamour shot after glamour shot too. If I want to look at a clothing catalog, I would. You know I post a few different kinds things so this is just another one of those things. Plus no one is telling the good service side of the Americans. That is also bs. All of this hate was just too much for me so I decided to go this direction. I made a calculated decision, knowing I would offend some people that respect me, to go ahead with this gallery. Assuming that the upcoming vote is going to be very, very close, does that mean that 50% of the population will hate the other 50% forever. My problem with you is twofold: First you have stated you are a "conservative" when anyone can see that is not the case by the statement you make. You said you are an "independent" thinker. Maybe I can help you out here. If someone is an independent thinker and sides with the democrats sometimes and the republicans other times, that person is likely to be a "moderate". They could even be a moderate republican (although from your posts here that would be a streach for you). But you are in no way shape or form a conservative of any kind. Second you have resorted to personnal attacks when you are losing the debate. Now, if you want to continue to discuss the issues we can do that, but I would advise losing the "conservative" thing and making fewer attacks-that's all.

Russ, I certainly don't rely on others to do my thinking for me-I do that myself. I watch CBS News to keep up with "the big three". I consider them the least radical of the networks. I read several newsites on the Internet every day. One of my favorites is the Media Research Center which explains the left-wing bias found in the major media. I read the Drudge Report and I understand that he tries to be on the "cutting edge" and because of that he gets some things wrong-I am aware of that believe me. And yes, I watch the Fox News Channel at least 2 hours every night. One thing I like about it is that they are much less negative in my view that the 3 networks. I find that they have a wide variety of commentators there from all sides such as Eleanor Clift, Alan Combs, Susan Estridge, Al Sharpton and so on. So I believe they have a very balanced persentation. What they do differently than the major outlets is that they don't dismiss the conservative view out of hand and I like that. So must alot of people since they are the number one CABLE news network.

I though this gallery might promore interesting discussion, and I suppose it has, but after my intial viewing, all these "flip-flopping" images have come up. I want to take them seriously, but that phrase seems to come straight form Fox news and hence I can't take it seriously. I don't know if it means he is deliberating, casting contradictory votes, over what span of time or anything. In addition, I have only ever herad that term from Fox or people who watch it. Many people I know think it is insane that I am attempting reasonable converstaion with people who watch Fox, but like it or not, we are all in the same country and we are all in this together. I can't stand the divisive practices of that network, and I encourage peopel to watch "Outfoxed," which offers a look at thier media practices. It is available now from select outlets and will be nationally available soon. Also, "The Corporation" which is in theatres now. For those firmly on the right, don't worry about the other movie, but please watch this. It takes a fair look at corporations and tries to engage viewers in a non-partisan dialogue that will hopefully help the opposing sides of this country communicate and debate about issues that matter and not this petty liberal vs. conservative bullshit. (Please contact me if you are interested and having problems finding copies of these movies) As far as I am concerned this page has crossed the line into propoganda just as the bashing images have. Only it presents itself as the facts, so is therefore also deceiving. Don, I'm sure you genuinely beleive this stuff, but please realize that there is a large faction of the country you love that does not agree with you. I beleive in fiscal responsibility...something this administration does not do. I beleive in a strong military but not spending so much on the military that it is just wasteful. I beleive what you do in your home is your business and the government has no right to know who your sleeping with or what sex they are so long as you are both consenting adults (not gonna catch me on the child thing). I beleive in helping my fellow man but not giving him a free ride forever on the welfare doles. I beleive that terrorists and dicatators EVERYWHERE should be stopped and if that means having to use military force as a last resort so be it. This is supposed to be the basis of all conservatives but the religous right has hijacked the concept and added their own rules to what it means to be conservative. So this is why I consider myself to be a conservative.

Kerry did NOT volunteer for Vietnam.. he was denied a deferrment and then joined the Navy...He was sent over there just like I was...AND I certainly didnt volunteer to go over there... but I did and did what was asked of me..even recieved a Purple Heart for wounds recieved in combat... I did NOT put myself in for the award like Kerry did THREE times and ask for an EARLY out of Nam ... Kerry is standing on his war record... OH WOW.. he spent a whole 4 months there... I am impressed... NOT!!!!! Keryy also submitted himself for his Bronze Star AND Silver Star... Gee normally you need witness's to verify his actions... NOPE not Kerry... funny NO ONE witnessed his actions.. BUT being in command of his swift boat... he technicly can submit his own paper work... which he did..... Yeah... Russ, I have a hard time based on your statements here believing that you are a conservative. You have not expressed support for any issues that you would if that were the case. Its true that Bush is not a gifted speaker but all Presidents have speech writers. I disagree, Kerry has a terrible record on defense-if you support a strong defense that is, which a conservative would. If you have any evidence that Kerry is strong on defense please share it. As for Kerry and the war issues, I'm sure he loves his country in his own way. But if you would take the time to look into not only the Swift Boat vets claims about Kerry's record during the war, but the facts about what he did AFTER the war you might change your mind about his service. A cynical person could come to the conclusion that Kerry in fact joined the service to get a war record that he could later use in a political career. I say this because after the war jhe did just that making speeches and accusing his shipmates and himself of war crimes. Bush changed his mind on some issues because of 9/11 and I don't blame him for that. As far as labels, yes people get then attached and sometimes they may not be fair. As for a woman president, I have a great candidate in mind for 2008-Condi Rice! But Russ, I still wonder how you can claim to be a conservative?

Bart. The 527 ads are NOT being run by the Republican party as such. People who favor Bush may be funding the ads that is true. But the republican party is not funding them anymore than the democratic party is funding Moveon.org. As for the Swift Boat vets, we have heard Kerry's side of the story and they have every right to have their side of the story out there-wouldn't you agree? And why is it ok for W to change his mind on things like the Department of Homeland Security or the 9/11 Commission to name but a few and not be labeled a waffler? But if Kerry changed his mind on anything at any time he is incapable of making a decision. My point is that both men are essentially the same with some extreme differences on the edges (religion/abortion) and since Ralph Nader is not an option (shudder the thought) you are left with only 2 to choose from. Perhaps some day we could all just get along and not let something so truly trivial as which uptight elitist white guy is best for America divide us. Well if Bush scares the terrorists so much why is it they would plan an attack between now and the election? (according to the crack intelligence teams out there) So here's a scenario for you....a radioactive bomb is detonated somwhere in the US prior to Nov. 2. Do you honestly beleive the people in this country would even consider voting for anyone other than Bush? The fact is no....like good little lemmings everyone will rally up behind the current president and stand united. So why create the fear and anxiety if you know it would get the man who you supposedly are afraid of elected? The simple matter is they are not affraid of Bush....or Kerry for that matter. The US has survived eight years of Bill Clinton and 4 years of Jimmy Carter (probably the worst President in history-certainly in the 20th century) so we could likely survive Kerry too. Ask yourself this question and answer honestly-who do the terrorists fear more, Bush or Kerry. I think it's Bush and that's why I want him elected, because the war on terrorism (or more correctly Islamic Fundamentalism) is the main issue in 2004.

First, thank you for your service. Could you tell us why you don't trust Bush? I am sorry that you believe we went to war for Haliburton, I just don't believe that myself. And if we did ever have to go to war to prevent oil supplies from being unlawfully stopped-wouldn't you be in favor of that? Everyone in this country and the civilized world used oil based products and I don't understand why everyone is so ashamed of that fact. I also would prefer someome in the office who knows something about the reality of war and combat up-close and who might try a little diplomacy before rushing into invading the wrong countries. As far as Kerry's anti-war stand goes, so what? I was also in Vietnam with the 9th Infantry Division in the Mekong Delta in 1967, before we knew the truth. When I got back and realized with the rest of the country with any thought process also realized, that we we were wasting men, deviding our country and ruining our economy for the wrong cause, I was against the war as well. Hell, Walter Cronkite lead the way! Anyone who has three purple hearts did more far more than their share and EARNED the right to speak out. If I'd known in advance what I knew later I'd have put braces on my teeth like my brother-in-law did to stay out of VN. I know many VN vets who think Nixon deserved to be hung, not for Watergate, but for the bad treatmen Vets got on the streets and in the VA hospitals on their return. He and Agnew made freedom of speech against the war seem un-american. It is and was our right to stand up against what we think our country does wrong. As veterans I think we earned that right in spades. I would never fight for him again. And I certianly would not have gone to Iraq for this inept President who was out more to do what his his father couldn't and to protect Haliburton and his families oil holdings. We don't have to be compliant fools for big business, just because our leader is. Kerry, not perfect? Who is? But how far down this road do we want to be lead this time? Haliburton has $18 Billion invested in Iran who will have nuclear capabilites within in 2-3 years. Will we use our allies and diplomacy to negotiate them out of this one, or invade ASAP with no support again? I have twin, 22 year-old nephews and I'll pay for dental braces or drive them to Canada myself before they'll serve in combat for the wrong cause because an inept administraion cannot deal with the world like we did. I am so irritated with people who are so militant that there is no point in having a discussion. As someone else said, every election for me is about the lesser of two evils. I dont feel represented by anyone in Washington, not Kerry or Bush. However, I am in the anything but Bush camp, and as much as I dislike Kerry, I am afraid I am going to vote for him, because no matter what he does it cant be any worse for the country than the current administration.
