Minolta TC-1 vs Pentax 120SW vs Kyocera Tzoom

TC-1 vs 120SW vs Tzoom Test

For your information:
Kyocera T zoom: 28-70mm/f4.5-8 T* Vario Tessar Lens --- HKD1350 zoom lens P&S camera
Minolta TC-1: 28mm/f3.5 --- HKD6000 prime lens P&S camera
Pentax Espio 120SW: 28-120mm/f5.6-12.8 --- HKD1500 zoom lens P&S camera

The images of TC-1 were taken at different aperture values.
They were f/3.5, f/5.6, f/8.0 and f/16;
while that taken by Pentax Espio 120SW and Kyocera T zoom were set at the shorest focal length (28mm)

Testing condition:
RDPIII. Auto focus. Tripod with self-timer on.
Same object distance of the cameras.
4000dpi with 14 bit and 8x scanning. ICE OFF.
JPEG conversion from TIFF with 12 compression ratio.
Comparison is made by 100% crop of the scanned images.

Since the image taken by TC-1 is a little bit wider than that of Pentax 120SW and Yashica T zoom (TC-1 > 28mm or 120SW and Tzoom < 28mm?), reducion of the file was made in order to keep the same content in the same crop.

For the original image taken by TC-1, please refer to the following website.
Minolta TC-1 (Test 1)

Hope that this website could give you a guideline of the qualities of these three cameras.

Is it worthwhile to spend 3 times more to buy TC-1?
Judge yourself and hope that the following crops would help you before you buy.
