Except otherwise expressly stated, all photos were taken by HS10 in jpg format and handheld condition (sorry for my handshake if any). They were resized before uploading to the web.

My camera HS10 came from my supplyer in Norway two days ago. I have not have time to test all the functions, only a few. I upgraded the firmware into ver 1.01, and noticed the firmware was made both for HS10 and HS11. Do You know about the differences between these two cameraes?
My PC is to slow to replay HD movie correct, so I will bay the HDMI cable and connect the camera direct into my TV. Do you have any experience with HD movie and slow motion with this camera?
The wheater in Northern Norway is not good for testing a new camera right no, looking forward to bether and warmer weather. 2 degrees and a cind of snowing...

Hi Rob, all photos were resized by PS2. No other adjustments were applied to the resized photos except a copyright trademark and certain level of USM, which I believe is a must-do step for all resized images. For the 100% crop photos, no USM was applied.

Hi Gunnar, the weather has been not good these days in Hong Kong so I haven't taken any panorama photos for uploading. I will later do so and share to all of you.

I have re-structured my website so that you will see my tests in a more systemic way with my comments and impressions of the camera.

BTW, The panorama function of HS10 supports sweeping panorama, which means that once you press the shuttor release button, just pan your camera horizontally or vertically, the camera would automatically stitch and make a final panorama photo to you. The length of the panorama shot somehow relates to the speed of your panning motion. If you pan the camera slowly, the panorama shot would cover about 270 degree, but if you pan quickly, the shot would only cover about 180 degree. The advantage of this mode is that what you have to do is just to pre-set the sweeping direction and press the shuttor release button just once, then the camera would do all the remaining steps automatically (you don't have to press the shuttor release button again when the panning motion stops). The action is fast and the camera does take too much time in processing and storing the panorama image. The disadvantage is that you cannot stop the panorama action once started -- you can just control the speed of panning to control the width of the image -- and the worst is that you have to cut the width of the image in PS afterwards since the capture is wider than required. The second disadvantage is that the height of the panorama is only limited to 720 pixel and 24mm could only be used.

It is surprisingly to note that the width could become 1280 pixel if I pan HS10 in portrait position horizontally. However, no matter how fast or slow my panning speed is, the width could only cover about 90 degree.

No other focal length could be used except 24mm if HS10 is set in panorama mode.

I know that ՠΫ is selling at $3550 with 8G SD card and an original Fuji camera bag. I don't know whether other shops would sell it at a lower price.

Thank you very much for this extensive work. I am a professional looking for a great vacation camera (my professional cameras are Fujifilm S3s). A camera like this can never be as good as a full SLR, but then again, I don't want to take a heavy SLR and all the lenses on a trip. You've convinced me that this camera might just be good enough quality for some fun shooting. Even at 720, it doesn't appear to be unacceptably noisy. I can feel my Visa card vibrating!

I could see that this is an perfect traveler companion. But for dslr user may disappoint when comparing the picture details. But it is unfair to compare HS10 with dslr when the price is huge difference to match such capabilities. I owned S6500fd which was 2006 technology which produce sharper picture just because of the bigger sensor and less pixel (6mega).
