During my stay in Goose Island State Park I saw one Roseate Spoonbill, a very unique and interesting bird. Fortunately, it was surprisingly cooperative, not spooked by my wife and I, and close enough to photograph with my 75-300mm lens, although all shots of it in flight are heavily cropped and the conditions I shot under were less than favorable (overcast and drizzly).

In honor of one of my favorite music groups, I've named this pink bird 'Floyd'. ;-)
