Nuttall's Woodpeckers

I was impressed with the constancy with which the male and the female fed their chicks. They twisted their heads to have their beak at right angles to the chicks and delivered their load of insects by expelling them upwards into the chicks beak as illustrated in the 5 shots on this page.
