My goodness, how gorgeous. I thought of doing bat rehab. myself, but we just aren't set up for it right now (apartment with a fair share of cats). Maybe someday. They are amazing, very unappreciated animals.

One of the places that I like to go to has a cave where bats nest...I think I may need to talk to the park rangers and get some more info on these guys....He is just adorable!!

No Cheryl, a flighted microbat lives to leave and not look back. A non flighted education animal socializes to people but they are nervous and can't work for more than an hour at a time and not every day. But boy those babies love you when they need you.

Toni,
Do they ever become used to people? Not that I want a bat pet. I have a bird who's lived in a cage for too many years, I'll never do that to a flying creature again. I'm intriqued by some of the large bats, I guess they are flying fox bats?

fairytales over generations gave them their bad reputation and this stories are still told, not easy to make people "see" that they are not bad
