Reelfoot Ibis

This Plegadis Ibis has been present for several days now in extreme northwest Lake Co, in the Phillipy area. Nancy Moore was given a tip about a strange bird, which turned out to be this Ibis. She got word out quickly, though initial looks didn't allow the bird to be identified to species.

Now, after much better looks in good light, the bird looks to be safely called a White-faced, presumably adult. Hopefully better photos than these can be had, as I had the bird fairly close for a little while, but most of my shots were at least 100 or more yards off. In a couple of the enlarged shots, especially shot #2, the red eye can be seen, though the shots aren't especially clear.
