Peregrine Falcon

This master of the sky is the scourge of small to medium-sized birds practically worldwide. Few things in nature can match the thrill of a Peregrine in a stoop, where they have been verified to exceed 200mph, and quite possibly reach 300mph. Peregrines have been widely reintroduced in the eastern US, after having been largely extirpated by DDT. We get Tundra (tundrius subspecies) during migration, and also anatum types that are hard to pin to subspecies due to cross-breeding of subspecies during the reintroduction.
