I was pleasntly surprised as I drove by this roadside pool and had this gorgeous Common Moorhen among the ubiquitous American Coots. Even at a glance, the red bill and white flank stripe jumps out.

I very seldom see these birds now in the State, doing good to get one a year. This was by far the most cooperative bird I've had in TN.
