This Barred Owl was seen near the wildlife drive on Walnut Log, Reelfoot Lake. It had gotten severely entangled in monofilament fishing line, and was trapped. Don Manning and I were able to get out to the bird, and 1st get the line cut out of the tree. At this time the bird moved out of the water it was in, to this location where it was photographed.
