I've been wanting a photo of a Dowitcher for a lont time now, and this is the only one we saw Sunday. But, it nonchalantly fed within 50 feet of us for awhile, and let me get a decent shot. This juvenile has lost a little of its pizzaz, but is still a gorgeous bird. The heavily marked tertials (tiger stripes) and broadly edged upperparts still shine at you.
