Hawaiian Stilt

This is the endangered Hawaiian endemic subspecies of our familiar Black-necked Stilt. These birds were seen in various places on the island, with the largest group having over 30 birds in it. This bird shows the increased amount of black in the face as compared to most of our nominate Black-necked Stilts.
