I think that Valentine's Day has gotten WAY to commercial.
I have told my husband for years to please just get me a card (so I know he didn't forget) and that is pleanty for me.
It is really hard for him to remember ANY holiday, birthday, or anniversary unless he is reminded over and over which I refuse to do...so this is a really big step for him ;o)
Although I really like fresh flowers, and usually have them in the house, I think it is unreasonable to pay what they ask for during this 'holiday'.
The girls, however, are all about gifts...anytime really. They each got a beautiful, bright, colorful delivery of flowers at school Thursday.
Now, the doorbell rings and they deliver 4 dozen roses. 1 for each girl and 2 for me.
Although I would have rather the doorbell be him, it was a wonderful surprise!!!
He is deployed...again...and I think he is trying to 'make it easier' since so many crazy things have happened this time.
He is such a wonderful man...and the girls are STILL clapping and jumping up and down ;o)
Now I guess I'll have to keep him!
