Believe it or not...I spotted this little guy while driving 55 miles per hour in the desert.
He was right in the middle of a very coarse pavement highway that was colored very much like he was...so I think he felt he was "well hidden" in the middle of the road(!).
I pulled over, and watched him as he scurried away to pose nicely in a wild flowering shrub.
