Photographing water scenes has always fascinated me. Maybe it's the high contrasty and definition available with water shots. A funny story about the water shots in this gallery. Well, those beautiful gray/green mossy rocks are NOT stepping stones to get you to the next rock. Beleive me, I know, all too close and personal and almost a photographic diaster. As you can guess, stepping from one stone to the next with gear in hand, camera mounted on tripod and bag slung over my back, I stepped down onto a lower rock and WHOOSH...it's like stepping on ice. Right into the cold water trying to keep all my gear above my head which I miraclousy acheived. Knowing my gear was safe I took a moment to look back at what now is the other side of the creek and just had a good laugh at myself. Wish someone could have seen it. Lesson learned here. Oh well, I thought, you can't get much wetter than wet so I continued for about 20 more minutes before heading back to the car and home for dry clothers. It unfortunately ended my day shorter than planned.
