"Paris, a nous deux." I studied Balzac in Aix during my second year in France (76-77) and I remember a great satisfaction in reading his work. The characters were well defined with strengths and weaknesses and predilections that guided them toward what seemed "un ineluctable destin". Life has turned out to be much more complex, more nuanced, less clear. I liked most St. Exupery (what liberal soul wouldn't) and Camus (existentialism being a necessary ingredient in the recipe of a 20 something year old). Marijo, your fruits gallery is very pretty, also. I'm glad to see you "sur la une" de PBase.
