He comes every day from nowhere, crossing carefully the road (have you ever seen a cat who looks attentively at both directions before crossing a road? I had never seen that before, now I have...).
He has realized that the territory is free now (I donít want to say why itís free), cats know things that humans cannot even imagine and he is displaying his firm intention to occupy it.
Heís not really disturbed by us, heís not scared at all, heís indifferent, nicely haughty.
He allows me to approach, every day a little more, but he pretends to ignore my manoeuvres to familiarize. If I dare to get a little too close, he looks at me with the noble and offended surprise of an emperor disturbed by a cheeky peasant and, without any hurry, he gets up and majestically leaves.
Iím trying to gain his benevolence little by little, with humble patience.
Maybe one dayÖ.
