Let's go closer to details...there is a little world to see!

Le Croisic - Loire Atlantique (France)

At the beginning of its story, Le Croisic was an island…then it became a peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on South and facing the salt marshes on its back.

It has not changed that much this village, its little houses are remained more or less the same as in the time of the white gold (the marine salt) and the whales hunting…

In Breton language “Kroazic” means little cross and the name of “le Croisic” came from that.

The whales are not part of local economy any more, but the salt is.
They say the salt produced here, by ocean water evaporation, is the best one can have.
They are so proud of their salt, that they put it everywhere, into candies as well.

Of course we tasted the salted candies, which are bizarre, but not bad…

great details - Agoraphobic as I am - I love these reassuring images of life surrounded with comfortable walls/windows/flowers.
