Why always flowers?

My mother's-in-law garden

A kind of vaguely psychedelic cabbage
I found in my moter's-in-law kitchen garden,
after this morning rain.
It's supposed to be a red cabbage,
but I was told that the green violet ones are only the summer leaves
and the red cabbage will appear lately in the centre of them.
I'm a city girl and I thought red cabbages, like other vegetables,
grew up in supermarkets.
But I loved this one.
Much better, for a change, than the eternal, boring, banal, beautiful roses.

Just as good to look at, but tastes a whole lot better than a rose!

Red cabbage are gorgeous. And they can give us beautiful abstract shots.

Indeed ! There is infinite colour and texture in the whorls and sweeps of this magnificent plant. So glad you noticed and brought it to us!

Marisa, good idea. The colours and textures are great. I must see whether I can find some good vegetables to add to my small, banal rose collection. ;^)

Oh yes, now that's so beautiful ... different but beautiful! Whatever you do, don't look UNDER a cabbage! Isn't that where babies come from? ;)

Fantastic color and shape. And now you know where cabbages come from. :)
