The emblem of Schaffhausen is the Munot fortress, a ring-shaped stronghold built between 1564 and 1589 according to a design by Albrecht Dürer..
The Munot is on the top of a hill, surrounded by vineyards.

When we saw that a street sign indicating “ To the Munot” we had not any hesitation and we followed it.
Well maybe in the picture the hill doesn’t look very high and very steep…But to climb up there are I don’t know how many steps.
