The most classical use of a fruit jam : La Tartine!

Nyon - Vaud (Switzerland)

Tartine means – in general - a French open-faced sandwich, especially one with a rich or fancy spread.
________________________________________
It comes from Old French, diminutive of tarte ( tart)
Here in my part of Switzerland it means mostly a slice of bread with something sweet on, jam, chocolate cream...

This photo is not isolated,
but part of a thematic gallery
showing how to make jelly with a little help from my friends....
