Rockmarshall Wood on the Cooley peninsula is one of our favourite places
for a Sunday walk with broad forest paths and spectacular views over
the surrounding hills and across Dundalk Bay.
Planning permission has been lodged to erect five huge wind turbines, each as tall as
The Spire in Dublin. Local people are objecting, fearing that it will destroy this
area of outstanding natural beauty as well as worrying about the implications to their health.
I've decided to put together a gallery of images taken on our walks there in recent years.
Perfect place for a dog walk
Patchwork of fields
View across to Dundalk Bay and the plains of Muirhevna
