Hanging on in November

I don't like November. It's dull and dreary.
The days are dark before I get home from work and I miss having time for photography and dog walking in the evenings.
It's too soon to look forward to Christmas (at least in my book it is), so it's a time for hanging on.

Retailers who have Santa splattered all over their shelves in late September / early October would disagree with you on the timing point. And of course November, being very late spring down here, is not a month I associate with bleakness, more apprehension about the heat and humidity of the summer soon to come. I like the way you've arranged this; straight on into the main subject, framing it with a couple of similar ones at the top, and having it stand out from the background through the different colour below. I think it would work very well as a large print.

Still lots of color left, November will give way to another season with more photo opportunities too! V

A sensitive eye can find good images anytime, as you have done here. Beautiful, rich yellow.

it is a tough month, both existentially and from a photographic point of view...not a time for hanging on though, more a time for persisting..

I don't like the dark, but that isn't November's fault. LOL. Blame it on the government.
Our November in Texas is more like your October, so that is when we have autumn color and foggy mornings. I love your photo and the comparison between your thoughts and the photo. Nice work!!! V

Lovely Fall colors and I see a big hole in the leaf. V

Very pretty leaves though. Sunshine yellow. Even though they're declining, they still manage to give a burst of color. Super close up. V.
